Planning Director Michael Henke summarized that the Homestead Resort’s master-plan conditions require conservation easements on Open Space Parcels 1–7 and that one prior extension had already been granted. He told the Council the amount of open space would not be reduced by the extension. Hoffman Law attorney Lauren Bolger, representing the applicants, said lender subordination and loan timing were delaying recording; Bolger asked for more time to finish several buildings and reduce loan amounts so the easements could be finalized.
Bolger stated she was seeking an extension until June 2027; the Council instead approved a second extension through October 1, 2026 (motion by Council Member Andy Garland; second by Council Member Kevin Payne). The record states the Council voted unanimously.
The extension is intended to allow the applicant additional time to address financing and lender subordination so the easements can be recorded and the conservation commitments preserved.
