Resident urges crackdown on early-morning semi deliveries, blocked streets in Midway public comment

Steve said heavy delivery and trash activity sometimes begins between 6:30 and 6:45 a.m. on weekends, making U-turns difficult and raising the risk of accidents. He asked the council what steps it would take to prevent future incidents.
Mayor Simons acknowledged the complaint, said staff are investigating potential solutions and noted the city is working on a plan for right-of-way, parking and traffic. Council members and staff discussed the noise-ordinance start time (staff said the ordinance begins at 7 a.m.) and indicated they would revisit related code language to reduce confusion and better align construction and general noise rules.
The city asked the speaker to provide specific times to staff so they can document and address the incidents, and said it will include the concern in ongoing work on traffic and parking solutions.
