One applicant (Emily, landscape architect) was identified, though commissioners noted she does not have Stevens' legal or floodplain expertise.
The commission agreed to publicize the vacancy through the town's notices, social channels and a press release to broaden outreach, and indicated they may consider additional targeted outreach or placement of a legal‑notice ad if necessary. Stevens offered to remain available for consultation after his departure.
