A board member moved to amend the town’s remote meeting policy to explicitly allow attendance and participation via Zoom, Teams or similar platforms. Several members said they had not seen proposed language and were unwilling to adopt policy text without a written draft.
"I think that we should get it in writing, see exactly what you want to change before we make the change," one member said. The board discussed withdrawing or amending the motion and ultimately agreed to table the motion and ask staff to prepare a written amendment for review at the next meeting. The clerk and staff will locate existing remote-policy documents and circulate a draft before the board votes.
The transcript records the motion and the decision to table; there was no final vote on a policy change at this meeting.
