The Bolingbrook Arts Council confirmed on June 2 that the Bolingbrook Arts Expo will be held as part of the Village Picnic on June 28 from noon to 5 p.m. Committee leadership has uploaded event documents to a shared Google Drive and circulated a standard operating procedure for planning.
"Bolingbrook Arts Expo: Village Picnic (June 28 12-5pm). All the documents used for the last Arts Expo are loaded on our Google drive," the minutes record. Council members said access to those documents will be shared with committee chairs so planning tasks and dates can be assigned.
The Community Events Committee reported the Bolingbrook High School rock band will perform at the Village Picnic and a $200 check request will be submitted to cover the band's fee. Volunteers and activity plans for event tables were discussed, including a red-white-and-blue art table tied to the 250th theme.
Other event logistics in the minutes included posting Juneteenth posters in the tunnel for the June 19 celebration and a reminder that the Performing Arts internship program begins June 24 with applicants under review. The minutes list a schedule of Art in the Window exhibitions and additional arts events through the remainder of 2026.
The minutes do not list vendor contracts, insurance, or final permitting details for the Village Picnic; those operational items remain with the Community Events Committee and staff to finalize.
