Denton board approves $23,250 warning-track surfacing, easement and connection agreements, and surplus hay sale

The Village of Denton Board of Trustees approved several local project and property items on March 2, including a $23,250 purchase for new warning-track surfacing, easement and connection approvals for 9505 W Denton, and the sale of surplus hay bales.
Blackledge presented a bid for the warning-track surfacing, noting a new mix from Odeys; Trustee Doug Rosekrans moved to approve the $23,250 purchase and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded. The board carried the motion and Blackledge said they would reach out to DCAC to request contribution to the cost.
The board reviewed an ingress/egress water main and sanitary sewer easement for 9505 W Denton that had been conditionally approved at a prior meeting pending attorney review; the Village Attorney reviewed the document and the board then voted to approve the attorney-reviewed water and sewer connections and lagoon agreement and authorized Chair Joe Hobelman to sign the document, on a motion by Trustee Ryan Osborn and second by Trustee Trent Wheatley.
Trustees also approved Resolution 2026-4 to sell eleven surplus hay bales by silent bid to Jake Baker for $31, authorizing the chair and clerk to complete the sale.
These items were handled during the regular business portion of the meeting and carried by majority vote as recorded in the minutes. The board did not record further discussion of alternatives or amendments in the meeting record.
