The Crawford City Council handled multiple routine agenda items and approved a series of operational and personnel actions at its Jan. 14 meeting.
Council approved payroll, bills and claims totaling $161,971.79. Staff reported street, park and cemetery work including tree removals, stump removal planning, and upcoming Memorial Day maintenance. The council approved up to $500 for RV dump area improvements (hydrant cap, flip‑top, concrete and signage).

The council also approved a one‑year engagement with Gabriel Burger Else CPA PC for the FYE 2024 audit and accepted the permanent closure of the old fire hall as unsafe, directing immediate removal of city property.
Other operational approvals included purchasing galvanized bolts and a tap‑and‑die set for the water plant, approving heater installations in the sewer plant office and the water treatment plant chlorine room and main office, and scheduling a public workshop for Jan. 29 at the Crawford Public Library. The council set dates and directed staff follow‑up where appropriate.
