The Machesney Park commission voted June 15 to approve Resolution 51-R26, granting Windsor Pizza Parlor LLC a one-day Class CT retail caterers liquor license to serve a wedding at the Twisted Tulip on Aug. 8 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., staff reported.
Kevin Sherman, a staff member, told the commission that Windsor Pizza Parlor applied for the license to cater a wedding at the Twisted Tulip and that staff had reviewed the submitted application and found that "all the requirements for the license have been met." He said the requested license would be valid only for the duration of that event and recommended approval of Resolution 51-R26.
The applicant was not present at the meeting. Mr. Tricky moved to approve the resolution, a trustee seconded, and the commission approved the motion by voice vote. No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
Votes at a glance: the commission approved minutes from the June 1 meeting (motion by Mr. Tricky, second by Trustee Cypes, voice vote); it approved Resolution 51-R26 (motion carried by voice vote); and it approved a motion to adjourn (motion by Trustee Wilson, second by Trustee Cypes, voice vote).
The chair noted the board would go on to the July 6 meeting with a positive recommendation on agenda items. There were no reports or public comments recorded before adjournment.
