Following a 10-minute recess, Assistant County Administrator Drew Basye explained that the earlier approval was based on a misunderstanding; the correct additional amount due to Stantec is $14,978.38 and the DEQ permit fee is $9,000, for a corrected total request of $23,978.38. The Board voted to rescind the earlier motion (moved by Keith Harris; seconded by Al Fisher) and then approved the revised change order and permit funding (moved by Keith Harris; seconded by Al Fisher). The final approval was recorded as Aye: James Long, James Brann, Chip Williams, Al Fisher, and Keith Harris (motion carried 5-0).
The county will utilize funds earmarked for the school well project to cover the approved increase and permit fee. No dissenting votes were recorded.
