Covington Village Council approved multiple measures at its June 2 meeting, including a construction contract for a dam project, annual tax-document paperwork, a renewal levy for fire and EMS funding, and a property replat that clears the way for a pending sale. The votes were recorded as unanimous "all ayes" in the minutes.
Key actions: • Resolution R27-25: Authorized the administrator to contract with Finfrock Construction Company, Inc. for the Stillwater Dam Modification Project; Finfrock was the lowest of three bidders. Council waived the three-reading rule (motion by Derrick Canan, second by Amy Welborn) and approved the resolution (motion by Dawn Duff, second by Derrick Canan).
• Resolution R26-25 and R28-25: Council corrected a previous resolution numbering (R26-25) and approved the annual alternative tax document (R28-25). Both waivers and approvals were recorded as unanimous.
• Resolution R29-25: Approved a request to levy a 2.5-mill renewal to maintain Fire and EMS services and directed submittal to the Miami County Auditor for certification under Ohio Revised Code section 5705.03; council waived the three-reading rule and approved the measure. The minutes note the levy funds a portion of the fire contract.
• Ordinance 6-25: Accepted and approved the replat of inlots 605–609 and part of outlot 30, consistent with a Board of Zoning Appeals approval from November 2024; the replat enables Bob Rudy to proceed with a pending sale expected to close on June 20 or June 30.
Votes and procedural waivers were recorded for each item; the minutes show motions to waive three readings preceding approvals in each case. No recorded dissenting votes were included in the minutes for these items.
