The Town of Newburgh Planning Board voted unanimously Aug. 7 to grant a six‑month extension to the WellNow facility site‑plan approval, moving the final closeout deadline to Feb. 7, 2026.
Justin Dates of Colliers Engineering, representing WellNow, told the board that construction of the sidewalk along Route 300 and the pedestrian crossing at Meadow Hill Road is complete and functional, and that only a small area of grass remains to reach DOT’s required 90% vegetative cover. “The sidewalk is in, the ped crossing is up and functional,” Dates said, adding the applicant was awaiting final DOT sign‑off to close the condition.
Planning Board engineer Pat Hines confirmed the date for the extension, and the board then moved, seconded and approved a motion to extend the approval from Aug. 7, 2025, to Feb. 7, 2026. Dominic Cordisco, the board attorney, said he would prepare a resolution to document the action.
The extension is administrative: it allows the applicant additional time to secure the outside agency clearance required to satisfy the condition of the original site plan approval. The board recorded the roll‑call vote as unanimous in favor.
