The Orangeburg County Board of Zoning Appeals conducted officer elections and adopted its 2026 meeting schedule during its Dec. 16, 2025 meeting.
Yvonne Gooden‑Johnson nominated Moses Brown to remain chairman; Ralph (Al) Shaffer seconded the nomination and the transcript records approval 5‑0. Gooden‑Johnson nominated William Weathers as vice chairman, seconded by Glenn Edwards; the vote was recorded as 5‑0. Gooden‑Johnson nominated Hannah Earle to remain secretary, seconded by Glenn Edwards; the transcript records a 6‑0 approval for secretary.
Planning Director Preston McClun noted that the January and February 2026 meetings fall on the Tuesday after a holiday and recommended rescheduling those two meetings. The board voted to meet on the third Tuesday of each month, with the January and February meetings moved to the Thursday after the holiday; Vice‑Chair William Weathers moved the schedule, Ralph (Al) Shaffer seconded, and the board approved the schedule 6‑0.
