Marquette County Highway Department staff told the Traffic Safety Committee on Oct. 1 that bridge replacement on Dover Avenue (Town of Crystal Lake) over the Mecan River is complete.
Officials also reported planned projects for 2026: a seven-mile reconstruction of State Trunk Highway 73 between Neshkoro and Wautoma, and safety improvements on CTH E/STH 22 to 20th Avenue funded by the high-risk rural road program. The improvements for CTH E/STH 22 are expected to include widened shoulders, rumble strips and additional warning signage; the county highway department will carry out the work.
No construction schedules or cost figures were provided at the meeting. The committee did not take a formal vote related to these projects during the Oct. 1 session.
