Smyrna committee moves to recruit youth advisory council, proposes senior commission and highlights master parks plan

Chair Mike Pearson reviewed how to find the master parks plan (a roughly 40‑page document) on the town website and described recently acquired town land referred to in the transcript as the Lindons, a historic house and adjacent property near Duck Creek that the town intends to develop as parkland; the transcript also cites a planned Mil Creek park on the east side of the highway. Committee members stressed that implementation will depend on budgeting and that landscape architects and community input helped develop the existing master plan.
