Bear Valley Unified trustees adopt 2026–27 LCAP, approve contract disclosures and set November election

The Bear Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees on Monday approved a package of budget, personnel and administrative actions for 2026–27, including adoption of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), required disclosures for bargaining contracts, salary schedules and a resolution ordering the November election.

Board members said they had discussed the LCAP and budget at a workshop earlier in the week and, with no further questions at the public meeting, a motion to adopt the 2026–27 LCAP was made, seconded and approved. The board recorded the vote as unanimous.

The board also opened the statutorily required public hearings for AB200 disclosures related to the California School Employees Association and AB1200 disclosures for the BBEA contract, noted that no members of the public chose to speak during those hearings, and then voted to approve the disclosures. The motions were seconded and recorded as approved unanimously.

Trustees adopted Resolution No. 2526-16, the annual resolution ordering the November election, and approved administrative management and certificated salary schedules cited by staff as previously vetted. The board also approved an updated union contract for the school association; the transcript records the contract approval as having been moved, seconded and approved unanimously.

Where matters were discussed in greater detail at a pre-meeting workshop, trustees indicated those conversations had already addressed questions raised at the regular meeting.
