Mayor Nile Mathisen and the Ballard City Council unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year 2026/2027 budget following a public hearing on June 2, 2026. Council Member Alfred Kettle moved to approve the budget; Council Member Ben Allred seconded the motion and the vote was recorded as unanimous.
The budget hearing produced no objections from council or the public, and meeting minutes note that the proposed plan was reviewed "and had no concerns." The adoption completes the council's primary fiscal action for the year and allows staff to proceed with implementation of the approved appropriations.
