The commission voted to recommend the variance under zoning section 3332.26 and then approved the overall design with one condition: the new exterior entry door must be a guideline‑consistent four‑panel (or another staff‑approved door treated as compliant) and the applicant must submit product details to staff. Commissioners also approved the demolition of the existing side porch to allow construction of the new addition and elevator tower.
The applicant will provide door details to staff for final review. Staff will issue the Certificate of Appropriateness once clarifications are received and verified.
