Commissioners appoint two members to Primeville Lake Acres Road District to regularize lapsed terms

The board moved to appoint Deborah Kowalsski to a term of Sept. 15, 2024–Sept. 15, 2027 and David Chamberlain to a term of Aug. 17, 2025–Aug. 17, 2028; the motion passed. Staff and counsel said a formal order will be prepared and presented at a future meeting to memorialize the appointments and to schedule any required oaths of office.
County counsel and staff advised the board on historical appointment dates and suggested staggering terms so the district does not have all members’ terms expire at the same time. That approach will allow the board to advertise future vacancies as needed and maintain continuity of the road-district governing body.
