Benton County approves interfund transfers, appropriations and routine permits; approves EMS training payment and event use

Benton County supervisors voted to approve a set of routine fiscal resolutions and local actions during their meeting.
Resolutions approved included an interfund transfer from LOST to secondary roads of $405,000 (resolution 2651) and interfund operating transfers moving $260,216 from the general basic fund to secondary roads and $3,005,000 from the rural service fund to secondary roads (resolution 2652). The board also adopted the annual appropriations resolution for fiscal year 2027 (2653), recognized official bank depositories (2654) and designated departmental depositories for recorder, sheriff and transportation accounts (2655).
Separately, the board approved a farm exemption application allowing Pat Peters to build a new dwelling on an existing farm parcel that the board said meets county ordinance criteria, and set a public hearing for a non‑agricultural use request for Brandy Path B on July 7 at 9:15 a.m.
The board authorized an EMS trust‑fund payment to cover a Blairstown first responder’s EMT class fee (stated as about $1,600) so the registrant could attend a course starting July 14. Members also approved use of courthouse grounds by the Veteran Cruise Committee on Sept. 19, noting the group carries its own liability insurance for the event.
Recorded votes were taken on each item and motions passed by recorded ayes.
