Supervisors debated contract wording after reviewing the packet. Several members said the bulk of the draft contract appears to be an agreement between the provider and the BHASO and that Attachment A — which describes space usage and a $150 monthly payment to offset utilities — was the principal item that concerned county staff.
A supervisor noted there was no place on the copy provided for the county to sign and asked staff to confirm whether the county needed a parallel lease. Another member asked that the county be shown on the provider’s certificate of insurance as an additional insured. Staff said the $150 was intended to cover utilities and incidental space costs and that the provider would bring its own equipment and Wi‑Fi.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the BHASO location agreement between Benton County and the provider, provided the provider supplies proof of liability insurance and lists Benton County as an additional insured on the policy. The motion passed by recorded vote.
County staff said they would follow up with the provider to confirm insurance and finalize any county signature pages or complementary lease language before implementing the arrangement.
The agreement enables periodic on‑site behavioral health services while keeping the county protected by insurance naming and other conditions the board requested.
