At the March 2 Bolton Heritage Farm Commission meeting, Beth Harney provided an update on fundraising and upcoming events. She reported the fundraiser account balance at $3,615.67 and the Heritage Farm Fund held by the town at $39,432.24. Harney said she will prepare a flyer and begin contacting vendors for the 2020 farmers market.
Rhea Klein announced a benefit yoga class on March 22 at Samadhi Yoga Studio, 283 E Center Street, Manchester, CT, with a recommended donation of $10; proceeds will support the Heritage Farm. Commissioners agreed Beth Harney, Cara Wraight and Chairman Arlene Fiano plan to attend the Community Resource Fair at Bolton Center School on March 13 and Beth agreed to complete the registration.
Tri‑centennial planning continues: Arlene Fiano said the next tricentennial meeting is March 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall and that reenactors proposed an 18th‑century dance for Oct. 3; Beth Harney will act as liaison and will check availability at Chandler Hall. Fiano also reported the Heritage Farm business plan was accepted by the Board of Selectmen.
