Student research to be used for W3R interpretive signage; grant expected later this spring

Commissioners heard an update on the W3R interpretive signage capstone project at their March 2 meeting. Rhea Klein said the grant that will fund signage is likely to be accepted, but funds are not expected to arrive until late spring or early summer.
Bolton resident and student Ben Jacobson told the commission he has met with his teachers and that his research and preliminary work on the signage project will qualify for his Capstone requirements. Rhea Klein also reported progress on a separate survey and planning grant and noted that stakeholders Josh Kelley and Sarah Nelson have a meeting scheduled at Town Hall on March 3 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss moving the grant forward.
The commission did not take a formal vote on the grant at the meeting; commissioners indicated continued support and expect further updates when funding and schedules are confirmed.
