Mount Kisco trustees approve community events, budget transfer and CAC appointment

The Mount Kisco Village Board met on Feb. 3, 2025 and unanimously approved a package of routine community items, finance actions and an appointment.
Deputy Mayor Theresa Flora moved and Trustee Angie Guerra seconded approval of a Recreation Department request to hold a Food Truck Festival behind Village Hall on Saturday, May 31, 2025; the board adopted the motion. Trustee Thomas G. Luzio moved, and Deputy Mayor Flora seconded, approval of the Village’s Sesquicentennial Parade for Sunday, June 1, 2025. Mayor J. Michael Cindrich moved, with Deputy Mayor Flora seconding, to approve the Mount Kisco Fire Department’s request to hold a Fire Parade on Friday, July 11, 2025; each event vote was unanimous.
Village Manager Edward W. Brancati reminded residents that water bills are due without penalty by March 4, 2025 and described payment options. The board authorized the Village Manager to sign a license agreement with 21 Cary Place after Charles Martabano presented the application; Trustee Thomas G. Luzio moved the authorization and Deputy Mayor Flora seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The board adopted a resolution to levy out‑of‑district water bills (moved by Mayor Cindrich, seconded by Deputy Mayor Flora) and approved a budget transfer for the Recreation Department as outlined by the Superintendent of Recreation (moved by Trustee Luzio, seconded by Trustee Guerra). The board also appointed Renee Lomax to the Conservation Advisory Council for a two‑year term (moved by Trustee Karen B. Schleimer, seconded by Trustee Guerra).
Deputy Mayor Flora moved and Trustee Guerra seconded payment of submitted bills for December 2024 and January 2025 across General, Water, Sewer, Capital, Library, Trust and LOSAP funds. The board approved payments totaling $422,661.36.
The board approved the minutes of the Jan. 6, 2025 regular meeting. There was no non‑local business and no public comment. The meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
The actions taken at this session were procedural and routine; any follow‑up items (such as implementation details for approved events and the license agreement) will be handled by Village staff under the direction of the Village Manager.
