The Maumelle City Council on Feb. 2 adopted five ordinances on third reading that update zoning, grading and elements of the master street plan.
Ordinance 1165 amended section 94-448 on conditional uses in planned commercial districts and passed after a roll-call recorded as 'Yes' by the voting members present. Ordinance 1166, addressing commencement of grading and clearing after preliminary plat or development-plan approval, passed on third reading. Ordinance 1167 rezoned about 47.948 acres on A.J. Clark Road for development as Vaught Bend Lake Estates and was adopted. Ordinances 1168 and 1169 amended the master street plan for Country Club phase 15 (curb cut and collector, respectively) and were approved by roll-call votes.
Votes at each adoption were recorded on the transcript by roll-call in favor; the clerk read each ordinance by title prior to the vote. No additional amendments were adopted at the meeting.
These adoptions move multiple development and right-of-way items forward; project-specific contracts and variances will be handled in subsequent planning and permitting steps.
