Lake County Planning Commission meeting canceled; key hearings moved to June 8

The Lake County Planning Commission’s May 18, 2026 work session was canceled after technical difficulties and internet connectivity issues affected the courthouse, the meeting record shows.
The cancellation meant no official call to order or formal business occurred. The record lists Commission member Json Marruffo and County Commissioners Matt Bullock, Elsa Tharp (appearing via Zoom) and Andy Lee (appearing via Zoom) as noted on the roll call; it lists Anne Schneider (Director), Melissa Kendrick (Deputy Director) and Rachel Polak (Planner I) as staff present.
Staff recorded that the Rural Lodging Moratorium study session originally scheduled for May 18 has been moved to the Planning Commission’s June 8 meeting. According to the minutes, the June 8 meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m. with the One Community Project study session; the Alpenflow Group Camp conditional use permit hearing (File #25-19) is scheduled to follow at 4:00 p.m. The minutes also note staff may consider adding an additional meeting date in June, to be determined.
