Public works reports new hires, vacancies and more than 4,500 cart signups

Staff reported that an Engineer 2 will begin in early January in the transportation area, and that a Facilities Manager, Joel Welter, started this week. Tom Spiles (name as stated) is expected to start early next year. The traffic engineer Darren has accepted a new job and will be leaving in early January, and the department will open positions for a lab technician, operator and several equipment operators.
Staff also reminded members to sign up for their carts and said more than 4,500 responses have been received to date. The Chair adjourned the meeting and wished everyone a safe trip home.
