Trenton police detective honored; city proclaims Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

Mayor Perry read a proclamation recognizing National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, thanking dispatchers for 24/7 service and noting the profession’s role in answering hundreds of millions of 911 calls annually. Council members also approved a resolution to move the Veterans Memorial to the municipal complex and voted on routine items including US Army surplus static-display participation and codifying several ordinance sections.
Council and staff praised the department’s work; Chief Carr encouraged residents to use an open-door approach for questions and invited the public to a monthly outreach event at State Street Coffee.
