Lincoln City Council approves routine reappointments, batch of liquor licenses and multiple land-use measures

The Lincoln City Council on June 15 approved a series of routine consent and land-use items, including reappointments to advisory boards, distribution of interest earnings and a batch of liquor license and special-event permits.
The council reappointed Jeffrey Johnson to the Electrical Advisory Appeals and Examining Board (term through Aug. 15, 2029), and Orville Jones to the Lincoln Housing Authority Board (term through July 1, 2031). The council also approved distribution of interest earnings on short-term investments for the month ended April 30, 2026. All consent items were approved by unanimous roll-call votes recorded as 6-0.
The council heard multiple applications for liquor licenses and manager permits. Applicants and locations approved or moved forward in the vote included Round One Entertainment Inc. (manager application for Ian Forsythe at 6100 O Street, Suite 190A); Drunk Enterprises Inc. doing business as Tandor (manager Pam Wanchuk, 3530 Village Drive, Suite 300); Corncoast Brewing LLC (manager Daniel/"Dan" Wallmeyer, 1433 Dahlberg Drive, suites A-C); Dame LLC (manager Cassie Tate, 2713 North 48th Street) with investigator Scott Parker of the Lincoln Police Department providing background; Alchemy (manager Tracy Johnson, 801 P Street, Suite 150); a special designated license for Zoo Bar (outdoor area on 14th Street between O and P for July 10); and a Pet on Tap special-event SDL at Topgolf One Infinity Court for a June 19 fundraising event organized by Molly Coke. After hearing applicants and seeing no public testimony, Councilman Show moved to approve items 4A through 4J; the motion was seconded and carried on a unanimous 6-0 vote.
On land-use matters, the council approved multiple third-reading annexation and zoning items for planned developments and annexations (introduced by Carlson), including Westview Ridge, Red Tail Heights, and Retail Heights projects. Those measures passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn carried 6-0.
Actions recorded in the meeting reflect procedural approvals and do not indicate substantive debate on the approved items; several items (notably zoning and annexations) had been considered in prior meetings.
