Trenton Planning Commission begins review of meeting rules and procedures

The Trenton Planning Commission on March 16 began a required review of its rules and procedures, with staff saying the review will include coordination with legal counsel and return to commissioners for comment at the April 13 meeting.
Mr. Burch introduced the item and described the scope of the procedures under review, saying they set the framework for meetings, public hearings, agenda preparation and voting procedures. "The purpose of tonight's item is to simply begin the required review process and provide the commission with an opportunity to consider whether any updates may be necessary," he said.
The item was presented for discussion only; no motion or formal action was taken. Commissioners were asked to review the draft and bring suggested edits or concerns to the April 13 meeting, when staff will present any proposed revisions after completing an internal review and conferring with city legal counsel.
The commission’s next regular meeting is scheduled for March 30 at 6 p.m., when other matters will be considered.
