Permits: The council approved a chicken permit for 409 Ashford after no objections were received from required notices. By contrast, a permit for 309 Street was denied after at least one neighbor objected, and the council required unanimous consent for approval in that case.
Policies, bids and other actions: Council approved a credit-card policy, discussed and withdrew a proposed revision to the investment-policy resolution for redrafting with input from the finance committee, approved a low-bid scope for a DO-shed roof/ceiling project to be performed after July 1 (grant-eligible work), and authorized a cooperative agreement with the county treasurer to assist collection of delinquent parking fines (amendment clarified that Maxwell-designated personnel, not just a "police department," will operate under the system).
