City staff described Pleasant Lane as "a short section of street, usually a low volume residential street," said the default speed is 25 mph and reported there was no crash data to support engineering countermeasures. Staff noted weekend volumes are low (roughly 50–150 vehicles/day on weekends) and said enforcement—rather than signing—would be the more effective tool but that police are unlikely to provide extra patrol units for a single-resident petition.
Commissioners agreed the item did not warrant immediate traffic-calming such as speed tables and moved to receive and place the petition on file so staff can monitor the location.
No enforcement changes or sign installations were ordered at the meeting.
