The Cedar County Board of Supervisors convened as the Canvassing Board June 9 to canvass votes cast in the June 2 primary election and certify nominees who will appear on the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election ballot.
Auditor Nicki Welch attended. The board certified the following nominees: County Board of Supervisors (Republican) — Mike Bixler and Warren Wethington; County Attorney (Republican) — Adam Blank; County Recorder (Republican) — Melissa Bahnsen; County Treasurer (Democrat) — Sandy Delaney. The minutes state that no candidate received enough votes to win certain opposing-party nominations for several offices (for example, no Democrat received enough votes for the Board of Supervisors nomination and no Republican received enough votes for County Treasurer nomination).
After certifying results, the Canvassing Board reconvened into regular session. The board adjourned at 10:12 a.m.
