The Village of Duncan Board of Trustees approved a conditional use permit for a hair salon at 922 9th Street (business name: Barrels & Bangs) during its Sept. 8, 2025 meeting.
Don Reves, chair of the village Planning & Zoning Committee, presented the committee’s recommendation in favor of the permit. Applicant Ashlea Gurley answered a few questions from trustees about the proposed business. With no further public comment, the board closed the hearing and voted to approve the permit (motion by Gary Schlesinger; second by Jerusha Ratcliffe). The vote was unanimous: Denbo, Wagoner, Schlesinger, Ratcliffe and Steyn voting aye.
