The Village of Duncan Board of Trustees unanimously approved Ordinance 25-213, an amendment to the village’s water rates, during its Sept. 8, 2025, meeting.
Chairperson Gary Schlesinger read the full ordinance aloud before trustees voted to waive the second and third readings. The motion to waive was made by Schlesinger and seconded by Nick Wagoner; the waiver and the ordinance passed on unanimous 5-0 votes (Lance Denbo, Nick Wagoner, Gary Schlesinger, Jerusha Ratcliffe and Van Steyn voting aye).
The board approved the ordinance after debate concluded; the meeting record does not list an effective date for the rate changes nor provide a detailed rate table during the public meeting. Treasurer Michelle Schindel presented the monthly bills later in the meeting, but did not provide figures tied to the ordinance during the session.
The ordinance will now be reflected in village records. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 13, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
