The Hyannis Area Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the district’s proposed 2025–26 budget and the final tax request at its regular meeting on Sept. 8, 2025.
Clint Taylor moved to approve the proposed budget; Mark Vinton seconded. The motion passed with all voting members recorded as aye: Mark Vinton, Clint Taylor, Chris Cover, Kevin Anderson, Bob Meester and Justin Vinton. Later in the meeting, Chris Cover moved to approve the final tax request amounts for 2025–26; Clint Taylor seconded and the motion likewise passed unanimously.
The approvals followed administrative presentations and routine reports contained in the meeting packet. The budget vote formalizes the district’s fiscal plan for the 2025–26 school year and the tax request sets the property tax figures the district will submit for the coming year.
The board also approved a procedural calendar change, moving the June 2026 regular board meeting from June 8 to June 15, 2026.
