Committee recommends confirmation of three EDI advisory-board reappointments (4–0)

The Land Use and Sustainable Development Committee on June 17 voted unanimously to recommend confirmation of three members of the Equitable Development Initiative (EDI) Advisory Board.
Tagoipah Mathno of the Office of Planning and Community Development introduced the nominees and described the board’s role advising the city on equitable development strategies and fund allocations. The three reappointment candidates — Dianna Paredes (Position 10), Jamie Madden (Position 8) and Sophia Benalfew (Position 13) — were presented with brief biographical summaries, including their community and professional backgrounds.
Chair Eddie Lin moved to recommend confirmation, a second was recorded, and the roll call vote was 4–0 in favor (Vice-Chair Strauss, Councilmember Foster, Councilmember Rinck and Chair Lin). The committee chair said the recommendations will be transmitted to the June 23, 2026 City Council meeting for final confirmation.
