DIGHTON — The Dighton Stormwater Committee agreed on June 17 to encumber $2,100 from the FY26 budget to produce 600 stormwater calendars for 2027 and handled routine scheduling and minutes approval.
After a budget discussion about communications and supplies, committee members moved and approved an amendment to the encumbrance motion that specified $2,100 for 600 calendars. Nancy said last year the committee paid about $1,731.75 for 600 calendars and that paper and printing costs have risen. The requested encumbrance will be sent to the town accountant so funds can be reserved before the fiscal year closes.
The committee also approved the minutes of its May 17 meeting. For scheduling, members discussed July dates and voted to change the regular July meeting from Wednesday, July 15 to Tuesday, July 21, 2026; staff were asked to post the date change and a revised agenda with a prominent "complete agenda to follow" notice. Members noted the July meeting may be canceled if no substantive items are pending.
Chair Nancy announced staffing changes: Heather will be leaving and Melanie Silva will move from the board of assessors to the highway department; members asked staff to coordinate posting and transitions.
The committee adjourned after the chair called for a motion to adjourn and members seconded it.
