Eagle trustees approve fireworks permit, donations and equipment purchases; clerk computer passes on 3–2 vote

Trustees voted 5–0 to donate two family pool passes to Eagle PTE for the Eagle Elementary Spring Fun Night scheduled for March 20, 2026. The board also unanimously approved Wild Willy’s 2026 fireworks permit application for 340 Highway 34.
The board approved the purchase of a 20-foot standard shipping container for the wastewater treatment plant from Boxhub for up to $2,565 and approved park claims of $241.85. A motion to purchase a desktop computer for the Village Clerk’s office from Custom LED Lighting for $1,815 passed on a 3–2 vote (Ayes—Surman, Todd, Meier; Nays—Dobbins, Hochstein). Chairperson Marcus Hochstein voted no on the clerk-computer purchase and voted yes on other items unless otherwise recorded.
The board also approved up to $500 for concrete-related expenses adjacent to 625 F Street (Ayes—Dobbins, Surman, Meier, Hochstein; Nay—Todd). Trustees approved minutes of the previous meeting (Dobbins abstained) and approved claims as presented for $99,947.93. The meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
Public comment: resident Terry Caddy told the board that municipal staff place warning tags on vehicles parked on streets but noted “most streets allow for 72-hour parking, which is a long time, and most vehicles do end up moving within that time period.”
