The Robertson County Commission on June 15 approved two separate rezoning requests to change portions of AG-2 (Agricultural/Residential) land to RP-80 (Rural Preservation District).
Resolution 061526050 approved the rezoning of 2.25 surveyed acres of a 21.2-acre parcel at 4809 Albert Fentress Road (Tax Map 130, Part of Parcel 199.00) from AG-2 to RP-80. Planning staff recommended approval, noting the parcel met RP-80 minimum dimensional requirements and the county Growth Plan designates the area as rural. The Planning Commission recommended the rezoning 7-0. The commission moved the resolution (Roberts), seconded (Martin), and approved it by voice vote (record shows 19 yes, 0 no; 5 absent).
Resolution 061526051 approved rezoning 4.01 surveyed acres at 1316 South Dividing Ridge Road (Tax Map 141, Parcel 051.00) from AG-2 to RP-80 to permit a two-lot subdivision. Planning staff again recommended approval; the Planning Commission recommended the rezoning 7-0. White House Utility District provided a written water-availability letter confirming that two additional domestic water services could be provided if new lots fronted the road or had easements for service lines; standard tap fees and a $250 water facilities fee per lot were noted in the letter. The commission approved the Nelson rezoning (motion by White, second by Thompson) with a unanimous recorded vote of 19-0 (5 absent).
Both actions were procedural rezoning approvals: staff and the Planning Commission concluded the parcels were dimensionally appropriate for RP-80 and consistent with the Growth Plan's rural-preservation intent. The resolutions amend the county Zoning Atlas and take effect immediately upon adoption.
