The policies taken on first reading include updates across governance and student matters: Policy 006 (Meetings), Policy 102 (Academic Standards), Policy 105 (Curriculum Development), Policy 122 (Extracurricular Activities), Policy 122.1 (Non‑Curriculum Related, Non‑School Sponsored Student Initiated Groups), Policy 123 (Interscholastic Athletics), Policy 140 (Charter Schools), Policy 204 (Attendance), Policy 209.3 (Diabetes Management), Policy 218.1 (Weapons), Policy 221 (Dress and Grooming), Policy 236.1 (Threat Assessment), Policy 246 (Student Wellness), Policy 325 (Dress and Grooming), Policy 332 (Working Periods), Policy 610 (Purchases Subject to Bid/Quotation), Policy 611 (Purchases Budgeted), Policy 619 (District Audit), Policy 805 (Emergency Evacuation of Schools), Policy 805.1 (Relations with Law Enforcement Agencies), Policy 805.2 (School Security Personnel) and Policy 810 (Transportation).
The board approved the policies on a blanket motion and also approved the district’s 2026 graduation list as presented. Other business at the meeting included approval of Intermediate Unit 1 agreements for 2026‑27, a substitute teacher bonus for those who work at least 100 days ($1,000 paid at the end of the term), and a cooperative agreement for food service director sharing with Southeastern Greene School District (Southeastern Greene to reimburse 10% of the director’s total employee cost, subject to solicitor approval). The minutes also record approval to allow cooperative middle‑school athletics sponsorships with Mt. Moriah Christian School and Chestnut Ridge Christian School for 2026‑27 at no cost to the district.
A separate administrative item authorized participation in the Intermediate Unit 1 electric consortium with supply beginning December 2026; the minutes record a Nay vote by Ryan Robinson on that item. The board also authorized several student teacher placements and the AG Youth Football League’s use of district facilities for summer practice and fall games.
The board adjourned at 7:07 p.m.; its next regular meeting is scheduled for June 17, 2026.
