Board approves Erie County Land Bank agreements, Perseus House alternative education and virtual academy services; updates policies

The Corry Area Board of School Directors on May 18 approved three Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreements with the Erie County Land Bank covering Concord Township, Elgin Borough and Wayne Township, an Alternative Education Agreement with Perseus House for 2026–27, a Virtual Academy Services Agreement with Warren County School District, and adopted multiple policy updates.
Amanda J. Cox moved to approve the Erie County Land Bank agreements; Jason D. Halfast seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Doris P. Gernovich moved and Joel A. Cook seconded approval of the Alternative Education Agreement with Perseus House; that motion also passed with all recorded yeas. The board approved a Virtual Academy Services Agreement with Warren County School District in a motion moved by Gernovich and seconded by President Frisina.
The board adopted policy updates previously presented for review, including Policy Nos. 140 (Charter Schools), 221 (Dress and Grooming), 236.1 (Threat Assessment), 325 (Dress and Grooming), 332 (Working Periods), 619 (District Audit) and 810 (Transportation). The policy updates were presented at the Committee of the Whole and for review on April 27, 2026.
Board members recorded unanimous support for the agreements and policies during the single meeting session; no votes against or abstentions on these items were recorded in the minutes.
