Village of Eagle trustees approve two Eagle Fire & Rescue appointments, employee payout and wage increase after executive session

At its Feb. 17 meeting the Village Board of Trustees approved several personnel and routine agenda items and made a personnel pay change after executive session.
Trustees voted 4–0 to approve Jill Laritson and Jorge Villa as members of Eagle Fire & Rescue. Trustee Meier moved both appointments; motions passed unanimously.
During the public-comment portion Trustee Dan Meier reminded residents not to leave recyclables on the ground and to return at another time if containers are full so the village recycling program may continue.
The board approved donating two individual pool passes to Eagle Vision for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 28, 2026. Trustees also approved the minutes of the previous meeting and authorized payout of 88 unused vacation hours and 35 compensatory time hours to employee Terry Caddy under the Village of Eagle Employee Handbook; both motions passed 4–0.
At 7:23 p.m. trustees entered executive session to discuss Terry Caddy’s annual evaluation and to protect the employee’s reputation; they exited at 7:32 p.m. After returning to open session, Trustee Todd moved and Trustee Surman seconded a motion to increase Caddy’s wage to $22.05 per hour; the motion passed on a 4–0 vote.
All motions recorded in the minutes passed unanimously with four trustees voting in favor and one trustee absent. The meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
