Village of Eagle adopts public comment policy, approves transfers and $92,479.69 in claims

During open forum earlier in the meeting, Becky Tinant of Alvo-Eagle Recreation thanked the board for upgrades to the ballfield at Eagle Municipal Park. Village Clerk Nick Nystrom read a prepared statement from Trustee James Dobbins in which Dobbins said he would not submit his resignation and that "I have decided to remain in my position for the time being." The statement also noted that Dobbins' professional obligations require him to be out of state for some meeting nights.
The board approved a transfer of $1,824 from the General Account to the USDA Reserve Account for the Eagle Facilities & Grounds Association; the motion carried (Ayes — 4). The board also authorized up to three trustees and the Village Clerk to attend the League of Nebraska Municipalities 2026 Midwinter Conference in Lincoln on Feb. 23–24 at a cost of $476 per person.
The board approved minutes from the prior meeting and approved claims as presented. The minutes list approved general claims totaling $92,479.69 (detailed line items listed in the minutes) and park claims totaling $203.28. All motions on these items carried unanimously.
At 8:10 p.m. the board moved into executive session to discuss pending litigation; the board reported at 8:27 p.m. that it had concluded the executive session and took no action. The meeting adjourned at 8:28 p.m.
