The Village of Eagle Board of Trustees on Jan. 6 adopted Ordinance 2026-01 amending Chapter 3, Articles 1 and 2 of the municipal code to set new water and sewer rates.
Trustee Surman moved to introduce the ordinance, Trustee Meier seconded, and the board approved first reading. The board then voted to suspend the rules requiring three consecutive readings and proceeded to adopt the ordinance; the motions carried by unanimous vote (Ayes — 4).
Ordinance 2026-01 directs the chair and the appropriate department or departments of the Village of Eagle to implement the rate changes and provides that the ordinance will be published within 15 days after passage. The ordinance text, as read into the record, also includes standard severability and repeal provisions and authorizes renumbering of sections to incorporate the changes into the municipal code.
The board did not record a roll-call vote by individual trustee name in the minutes; minutes list the outcome as "Ayes – 4." The ordinance takes effect upon passage, approval and publication as stated in the text.
The board’s action follows routine municipal procedure for code amendments; no public testimony opposing or supporting the rate change was recorded in the minutes for this item.
