Two commercial property appeals involving Coca‑Cola distribution/warehouse properties (BOE 176 and BOE 177) were resolved by agreement at the Board of Equalization meeting on June 15.
The board and the taxpayer’s representative (identifying himself as Chris on a phone appearance) reviewed cost and income analyses. After the assessor adjusted figures and discussed Marshall & Swift cost elements, the parties negotiated and reached mutual settlements. For BOE 176 the parties agreed to set fair market value at $5,824,700; for BOE 177 they agreed to $7,300,000. The board recorded motions to adopt those values by mutual agreement and closed both hearings.
The Chair asked the taxpayer’s representative to confirm acceptance of the revised figures; the representative agreed. The board instructed staff to record the agreed values and to mail formal notices to involved parties following the board’s scheduled Thursday work.
The settlements were processed as mutual agreements, so the board did not render a contested decision on the record but recorded motions setting the agreed values.
