The board noted Head Start’s investments in the facility, including upgrades to the parking lot and playground.
A board member said the partnership helps serve underprivileged families and provides food service to the program. One board speaker said they had called Mr. Wood (Head Start contact) about the lease and that the arrangement continues without a rent increase for the next five years because Head Start contributes to maintenance costs.
The board approved the agreement by motion and roll call; the lease term and shared responsibilities were recorded in the motion.
