BPW awards $12,500 contract to Dixon Engineering for three ROV tank inspections

Staff recommended conducting three inspections at once (80th St., Carlton and the north 1.25MG reservoir) to capture efficiencies and prepare for repainting planned for spring/fall 2027. The quoted inspection costs were $4,100 each for the 80th St. and Carlton tanks and $4,300 for the north 1.25MG tank. The Board approved the award on a motion by Commissioner Query, seconded by Commissioner Cooney; the motion carried with all voting aye.
Board materials noted typical inspection costs range from $5,000 to $5,500 per tank when procured separately, so staff indicated the combined procurement yields cost savings. Staff said the work supports scheduled maintenance and repaint planning.
The contract was awarded as presented; no dissent was recorded.
