Board reviews cemetery and bridge work, hears new mowing contractor and a community-rental request

Officials reported Williams Cemetery and Middle Road are now drivable; hillside slope work at Hillside Cemetery was regraded and berm work has started. Board members noted contractor communication is ongoing for Middle Road bridge repairs and said there was no new update on the Middle Branch Bridge.
At the ballfield property, a resident identified as Dick said a tool-shed frame is in place and raised concerns about a corner lying in the middle of a driveway; he requested discontinuing use of one side of the driveway, moving a culvert to widen access, and placing a barrier to stop vehicles from parking on his lawn. Adam (listed as CEO) was noted as aware of the shed frame and property concerns.
Gavin, a local mowing contractor with about five years in business and a three-person crew, offered to take over the town’s mowing contract (the prior contractor did not continue and the fire department had filled in for one month). Gavin said pricing would be similar to prior costs, including spring cleanup; he asked whether the gate at Smith Cemetery could be widened so his mower can enter.
A food-service operator using the name Belly of the Beast requested permission to use the town hall kitchen and parking lot and said he would rent the hall at the going rate; he acknowledged that if the hall is rented by others the kitchen use would not be available.
Chris proposed giving Carlene Oakes a $100 gift card and a thank-you card in recognition of her 50 years of service to Bradford. The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
