Bradford board discusses refrigerator repair, pantry request, and road/grounds updates

During the June 19 meeting Select Board member Terrie-Sue Allen reported a refrigerator at the community center was maintaining 54 degrees during a celebration-of-life event; the compressor was not turning off and the refrigerator had been dropped during delivery. Terrie asked that service be sought before warranty expiration. The minutes state Chris will call Home Depot on June 21 to request service.
The board considered a request to use the community center as a food pantry; the Select Board instructed Town Manager Chris to inform the caller that the town is not interested in using the community center as a pantry.
Town Manager Chris provided road and grounds updates: berm and roadside mowing contract bids are available; magnesium application on roads was satisfactory after a truck repair; checks were made on salvage and open-dumping sites; cemetery mowing has received compliments and trash was picked up by Desi. Manager also requested written confirmation to shut down the sprinkler system and to remove visible sprinkler heads and piping.
No formal votes on these operational items were recorded in the minutes beyond direction to staff to contact vendors and to decline the pantry request. The minutes did not include direct quotations from participants.
