Bradford submits Middle Branch Bridge grant; engineer optimistic about full funding

The Town Manager reported July 1 that the Middle Branch Bridge grant application is complete and has been submitted; according to the minutes an engineer believes the town should receive 100% funding. Board members were told award announcements are expected in August.
The board also discussed other local infrastructure needs. The Town Manager listed Tasker Bridge for follow‑up and said Hillside Cemetery Road requires repairs; the board directed staff member Chris to prepare specifications for those repairs for review at the next meeting. A sinkhole on a north driveway was reported as temporarily filled with gravel and loam.
Board members acknowledged the bridge grant submission without taking additional motions on the application. Staff will report back when the USDA or grantor issues a formal award; the board expects an announcement in August.
